Mason C. Meiringer

Founding Director of Singularity

Mason is from the United States, received his PhD from the University of Oxford. Part of his academic work focused on contemporary debates in epistemology that ultimately led him towards a deep interest in neuroscience and theoretical linguistics. Using the Singularity method, he has learnt Spanish, French, German, Russian, Chinese and is currently plotting to add Japanese to this list. Mason is the former A.A.U. (American Athletic Union) Martial Arts Champion of the "Garden State Games" (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) whilst also winning separate gold medals at both the New York and New Jersey State Championships in the Sparring (Kumite) division and bronze medals in the Forms (Kata) division.

Alongside our native Singularity instructors, he personally helps teach our Singularity Russian summer Seminar (in Iceland) and our Mandarin Chinese winter seminars (in Hawaii). Fancying himself a singer-songwriter of sorts, he’s known to bring his guitar along on the seminars.

Alessandro Telò

Renowned Polyglot & Director of Singularity Linguistics and program development

Mr. Alessandro Telo, having studied finance at the London Business School and the Wharton School, is a world-renowned polyglot and our applied linguistics prodigy. Already by the tender age of 21, Alessandro had achieved native fluency in 8 languages and commanded a working proficiency in another 12 languages whilst acquiring a systematic and comparative comprehension of the grammatical structures of over 30 languages.

Born to an Italian father and a Dutch mother in French-speaking Brussels, Alessandro grew up speaking three languages on a daily basis. After immersing himself in Latin at age 12, he became fascinated with languages as evolutionary and intertwined systems. He began to apply his earliest insights toward learning both German and English by drawing analogies with his native Dutch. After achieving rapid results with his incisive dynamic-structural approach, he was hooked and wanted to see how far he could push himself, thereafter reaching proficiency in Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish and classical Arabic. It was precisely during this catalytic period that he substantially deepened his interest in linguistics and in particular Indo-European historical linguistics, which led him to delve further into Ancient Greek and Sanskrit - the two keys, according to Alessandro, that unlock the mystery behind all Indo-European language systems.

Equipped with this unique analytical framework, which ultimately translated into a finely-tuned learning strategy, he began teaching languages privately as a language consultant, whilst incrementally enriching his repertoire with Farsi, Modern Greek, Polish, Czech, Norwegian, Danish, Hebrew, and Japanese. Alessandro is well-known within international polyglot circles and has appeared on Belgian TV on several occasions given his passion for languages and his singular language learning journey.
